Although I’ve called this a Fashion Friday post, it’s more of a lifestyle-fashion-little-bit-of-everything sort of affair. Those of you familiar with UoB will no doubt know what ValeFest is, but for those of you that aren’t, here’s a little taster…
ValeFest is essentially a small non-profit festival, hosted on The Vale student village in Birmingham. You pay £5, £10 or £15 for a ticket and are rewarded with new unsigned bands, food stalls, an after party and the fact all money spent goes to charity. How wonderful!
Initially, extremely hungover from Fab the night before, I waddled down to ValeFest in jeans and an old jumper just to pick up lunch so I could eat and then nap back in my flat. But, after seeing a few inspiring outfits (even though it was only ValeFest, not Glastonbury), I decided to make a little more effort…
I’m on the far left and am wearing:
Red Herring Black Turtle Neck Jumper | £16.00
Forever 21 Daisy Dot Leggings | £8.00
Decorations transforming The Vale into Alice in Wonderland for the Mad Hatter’s Dance Party!
Raving at the After Party!
The music was fantastic, the food was even better (Pad Thai, waffles and fro-yo, get in ma belly!) and even the after party didn’t disappoint. ValeFest 2014, you were incredible. Bring on next year’s celebrations!
